Press Release Body = January 5, 2006 -- January 4th marked the Second Annual World Hypnotism Day and proved a tremendous global success. World Hypnotism Day is a vehicle in which to demonstrate to the people of the world the truth and benefits of the honorable and timeless practice of hypnotism.
World Hypnotism Day Committee Member Tom Nicoli, BCH, CI, who was first recognized nationally during his appearances on Dateline NBC during the Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge notes, \"There has never been anything like it. This is the largest hypnosis event that has ever happened in history. On one day there have been more people reached in all corners of the world, more information about hypnosis shared and more members of all of the primary professional associations in the alternative health field of hypnotism coming together than ever before. It has been truly amazing.\"

Also, a new e-book, Hypnosis Success Stories, created to honor all hypnotists throughout the world and their profession will be provided as a gift to all who visit and sign up at www.worldhypnotismday.com
Hypnosis is known especially in the areas of weight loss, smoking cessation and stress management. Other benefits of hypnosis received focus during 2005 as a result of growing attention by international media, Newsweek, Scientific America, Oprah\'s O magazine, The Times of London and other popular syndicated television shows around the world. World Hypnotism Day has been the vehicle to make the world aware of the many areas in which hypnosis can benefit everyone.

WHD was celebrated in Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Cypress, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Grenada, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom and the U.S.A.
WHD committee leaders and members helped guide the hundreds of WHD participants in all corners of the world to join together and promote hypnotism in its proper light. With the combined efforts of the hundreds of participants, thousands of people were introduced to the truths of hypnotism as myths and misconceptions were dispelled. It appears safe to say World Hypnotism Day will be celebrated for years to come.
